A lifetime of achievement in hand engraving
The Hand Engravers Association of Great Britain Lifetime Achievement Award recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of hand engraving during their professional life. The Award is only given to exceptional men and women and so is not an annual event. The inaugural award was made in 2010, the second award presented in 2015 and the most recent in 2017.
PAST AWARD WINNERS
2017 Wayne Parrott. Presented at the Association’s 10th Anniversary tea party at the Lord Mayor of Westminster’s Reception Rooms on 8 March 2017. The actual award was designed by Alan Craxford with engraving supplied by past students of Wayne.
2015 Malcolm Appleby MBE. Presented at the Training the Trainers Birmingham event on 24 January 2015.
2010 Ken Hunt. Presented at the Celebration of Hand Engraving event at the Jewellery Quarter Museum in Birmingham, 12-13 March 2010. A short film was made to accompany the presentation.
